L.A. Noire Rockstar Pass Breakdown

I’m not gonna beat around the bush. Go buy this right now. If you enjoyed LA Noire, there’s no reason not to buy this. Getting 4 DLC cases for $10 is a steal, and the extras are just gravy.

Let’s break down what’s included:

The Naked City” Vice Desk case
A Slip of the Tongue” Traffic Desk case
Nicholson Electroplating” Arson Desk case (avaiable June 21)
Reefer Madness” Vice Desk case (avaiable July 12)
*All cases are normally $3.99 PSN/ 320 MS Points*

The Badge Pursuit challenge (normally $1.99 PSN/ 160 MS Points)
“The Broderick” detective suit (normally $0.99 PSN/ 80 MS Points)
“The Sharpshooter” detective suit (normally $0.99 PSN/ 80 MS Points)

There’s also two pieces of free extra content: the “Chicago Piano” machine gun, a free download on your market of choice; and the “Chicago Lightning” detective suit, a free unlock for signing into the Rockstar Social Club.

So for $10, you’re getting all kinds of extra goodies. And the DLC cases integrate into the story mode, so you’ll play them automatically if you come to the game late.

If you’re not lucky enough to get that Pass in time, I’m going to review each item so you know what’s worth buying.

“A Slip of the Tongue”/”The Naked City”

I don’t want to include story details, so here’s the trailers for each case.

Between the two, I enjoyed Naked City a lot more. It felt longer, whether it was or not, and the story seemed much stronger. Having said that, they’re both good additions to the game, and worth it.

“The Brodrick”/”The Sharpshooter” suits
Two words: Horse Armor.

While they provide small bonuses, these are mostly cosmetic. I would not recommend buying them separate from this pack.

Badge Pursuit Challenge

From what I can tell, this amounts to another collectible set. And that’s not really worth $2 to me.

“Chicago Lightning” suit/Chicago Piano gun

These items are unique in that they’ll always be free. So it’s hard to say whether or not they’re worth your money. If you feel the need to download them, go for it.
