In a press conference at Gamescom earlier today, Blizzard sorta confirmed that they’ll also be taking Diablo 3 to consoles. While there have been hints dropped by Blizzard for awhile on this front, Josh Mosqueira outright said that the developer “is very, very serious about bringing the Diablo 3 experience to the console.” Sounds pretty solid to me, even if it’s not an official statement, yet.
In the same press conference, Blizzard also took the opportunity to inform that there isn’t going to be an MMO in the Starcraft universe from the developer. Anytime soon, at least. “as you can see based on the presentations these guys did tonight, we’ve got our hands full with everything we’re doing,” said Blizzard co-founder Frank Pearce on the subject. “So we don’t really have any plans to do anything beyond the StarCraft RTSes and the expansions right now. ”
However, Pearce did throw in that “anything’s possible, because we have created such rich and cool universes.”
So, in both of these cases, it’s basically Blizzard being Blizzard. They don’t exactly want to commit to much of anything, more or less bringing us back to square one on the whole Starcraft MMO front. So, (don’t) expect it maybe sometime perhaps in the future. Possibly.
Diablo 3 doesn’t have a release date yet, so stop asking or we’re not going to McDonald’s tonight.

It doesn’t matter to me if it’s on console or not, I’ll defiantly be playing it for PC, nothing will beat playing this game with a mouse and kb.
I understand Blizzard wanting that extra piece of the pie with console gamers. I agree with you though and will play it on PC. It just seems like the right ting to do
