Eurogamer seems to think so, anyways, referring to an unnamed contact they have within Borderland’s publisher, 2K Games. Borderlands 2 is supposedly in development, at the moment, with a planned release for 2012 on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
Is it true? Probably. Especially if Eurogamer is willing to out and say that the title is “confirmed.” And given how much support the original Borderlands got in the way of DLC, I’d be very surprised if Gearbox wasn’t interested in producing another game in the franchise.
Color me excited for all of the potential scoped, two-chambered revolvers and wacky exploding midgets to come.
