Super Robo Taisen OG Saga (DS): Endless Frontier (aka Super Robo Titties) – Gundam 2.0. Android Boobies. Silly story. Krazy Kombo Kombat (Turn based + 50 hit fighter style combos for massive damage). Breasts. Over the top weapons. Zero Touch controls (!). Melons. Breast specials. Endless jiggle fest. Cameos from other Japanese Namco games (including Xenosaga’s KOS-MOS).

Ribo gives it $15/$40 (if you want to see endless breasts and/or you’re hard up for an rpg $20/$40).

Hannah Montana The Movie (DS): Wow. Just Wow. Hannah Montana might be the worst show this side of Superman. Lord Drachenblut loves Superman’s Bulge. Hannah Montana the movie the game: 3D style adventure game. Terrible “puzzles” and tasks. Occasional concert sections give way to a pseudo rhythm game (!). Why didn’t they just copy Elite Beat Agents or Guitar Hero? Sloppy! Plus side, several full (fairly decent sounding) songs from the movie (if you’re into that sort of thing). ribo weeps for the entertainment of young girls.

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars (DS): Great graphics! (Fully 3D, however there is a fixed isometric viewpoint) A mix of GTA 1 & 2 and the later games. Cool mini-games (touched based, hot-wiring cars is awesome). Typical GTA storyline (low level thug eventually gets to the top after many double and triple crosses). Good combat + Asian = I know Kung Fu. Very Nice music (instrumental radio stations, Jazz/Funk is the best!). Occasional voice (none in cut-scenes). HUGE city + GTA4′s random encounters = long game (even after 15 hour main story). Driving controls decent though they take getting used to. Dopewars (dealing drug mini-game (really?!)). Rating is a HARD M (tons of that salty sailor language your mother wouldn’t approve of).

Warioware Touched (DS): Micro games! VERY twitch heavy game (ADD folks rejoice!). TONS of micro games (about 120?). Good variety in game styles (creative use of touch controls and microphone). Great “pick up and play” gameplay. Might be a tad rare?

Ribo gives it $15/20 (used is $26! Good lord!)

Drop 7 (iphone): Tetris meets Sudoku. Simple yet addicting. Only 4 bucks and worth every penny! ($4/4)

Flight Control (iphone): Match helicopters and planes to landing pads. Very punishing (if a plane crashes once, its game over). Nathan Fillion fanboy love. andyb0y cannot beat Malcom Reynolds. Leaderboards?

andb0y forgets the price of the game and gives it $3.5/5 (it’s only 0.99 cents! so .7/.99? who cares! .99 cents go buy it!).

Godfather II review

Punch Out! (Wii): Finally! The game the Wii was made for! Andb0y is sore from playing the game. Very similar to previous punch out games. Disco Kid is the gayest character of all time. Integrates Wii Balance board to dodge punches. Cool fighter intros (but missing that 8bit flavor in terms of music). The game is MADE for the Wii controls. Game is actually decent length.

andyb0y gives it a perfect $40/40.

Chrono Trigger: DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME WITHOUT HEADPHONES! Amazing audio. Spectacular FMVs. Only play in DS mode.

The Battle for Wesnoth: Open source RTS game. (Might be turned based) Available for Linux, Mac and Windows. playdeb.net Nice freeware gaming for Ubuntu.

Lord Drachenblut hates instantaction.com (freeware gaming site) for having the BALLS to not support Linux (how DARE they!).

I Want to be the Guy: Freeware platform game and an exercise in 8bit Masochism. Good stuff. Play it if you dare!

Doom ported to Flash? Huh.

Again with the Suikoden! (Suikoden Tierkreis) andyb0y is still hooked. (20 hours in!) Chrono Cross STILL sucks.

Game to Avoid:

Velvet Assassin (Xbox 360, Windows): How much stealth is too stealth? Have to be in stealth ALL the time or you die. More of a puzzle game, have to figure out how to not get caught. andyb0y only lasted a half hour! It’s no Metal Gear.

Everyone is excited about MW2 (Call of Duty 4.5?). andyb0y wants to swim!

Jagged Alliance DS: Decent port of an old DOS strategy game. Good graphics, wonky controls mired by stylus interface.

PSP Slim holds candy and pennies! (It’s built like it should anyway…)
